Landscape Maintenance – Team Member (Charleston)

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: North Charleston, SC

REPORTS TO: Crew Leader

PAY: $17-19/hour

The position of Landscape Crew Member is open within our landscape maintenance division located in North Charleston, SC.

The ideal candidate is an energetic and motivated individual with high-quality standards. This role reports directly to the Crew Leader and the expected work hours are Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays and Saturdays (as needed) beginning at 6:30 am.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all job-related tasks in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools, such as weed eaters, blowers, mowers, and trimmers.
  • Perform assigned landscape maintenance tasks, such as mowing, edging, and pruning.
  • Work to ensure quality and timely completion of all tasks assigned.
  • Keep trucks and equipment clean and in working order.
  • Report broken equipment to the Crew Leader.
  • Participate in training certification programs, as needed.
  • Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”), keeping safety guards on equipment in place, using equipment safely, and looking out for others.
  • Interact with coworkers, property managers, and the public in a friendly and polite manner.
  • Assist with special individual or group projects as needed and other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in mowing, pruning, and landscape basics, preferred.

Skills & Abilities Qualifications:

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are a plus.
  • Demonstrates dependability and commits to the required hours for job completion.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Physical & Environmental Considerations:

  • Work outside in various weather conditions that may be hot, cold, wet, or turbulent.
  • Work in environments with unusually loud noise levels, requiring hearing protection.
  • Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
  • Must understand and abide by all OSHA regulations, including wearing PPE.

Blower Truck Operator

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

Pay Range: $20-23/hour

Our team is looking for a blower truck operator to join our mulch crew! This person is expected to have a Class B CDL or be able to obtain one with the company’s sponsorship.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Properly transport and deliver mulch to a designated area.
  • Follow instructions as provided by supervisor.
  • Drive in a safe and alert manner to and from each and every job-site.
  • Train and supervise team members on a daily basis.
  • Maintain truck and equipment on a regular basis
  • Ensure a clean and efficient job is done each day.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Able to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Able to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies, and/or procedures
  • Have or be able to obtain a Class B CDL license
  • Pass a background and MVR check
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to speak fluent English

Physical & Environmental Considerations:

  • Work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Must understand and abide by all safety regulations, including wearing PPE.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Irrigation Technician

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

REPORTS TO: Detail Supervisor

PAY: $18-23/hour

Duties & Responsibilities: 

The Irrigation Technician will help maintain and repair irrigation systems on a daily basis. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to work independently, troubleshoot irrigation systems, and provide routine maintenance to prevent major issues.

  • Perform site assessments to identify and report any repairs needed.
  • Replace worn or damaged irrigation heads.
  • Repair irrigation mainlines and feeder lines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair irrigation valves and wiring issues.
  • Program irrigation controllers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair single-wire, multi-strand, and two-wire systems.


Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
  • 2 years of landscape irrigation repair experience, preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of PVC installation techniques and understand irrigation designs.


Skills & Abilities Qualifications:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Has an attention to detail with an eye for potential safety hazards.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

Heavy Equipment Operator

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

PAY: Negotiable

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • An advanced level of operating heavy equipment, primarily skid steers and excavators.
  • Proper grading and leveling knowledge.
  • Prior operation of mulcher and cutter head attachments. 
  • Transporting/trailing heavy equipment.
  • Timely completion of projects to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Has a strong work ethic and great attitude.
  • Practices health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Willingness to learn new things as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in equipment operations preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrates dependability and commits to the required hours for job completion.
  • Can safely operate and maintain all equipment used for cutting, mulching, and excavating.
  • Mechanical abilities to maintain and perform basic repairs in the field.
