Local CDL Driver (Columbia)

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

Pay Range: $25/hour

The CDL Driver will be responsible for 2-3 team members and will assist with mulch or construction operations– manual labor should be expected. This position requires not only a good driver but the right person who is willing to get out of the truck and help during the installation. This person is expected to have had a Class A or B CDL for at least 3 years.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Properly transport and deliver materials or equipment to a designated area.
  • Operate various hand and power tools as needed.
  • Drive in a safe and alert manner to and from each and every job-site.
  • Train and supervise team members on a daily basis.
  • Maintain truck and equipment on a regular basis

Landscape Construction Operator (Columbia)

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

PAY: Starting at $17/hr

Heritage Landscape Services is looking to add an enthusiastic and knowledgeable operator to our Landscape Installation Division. Landscape Construction Operators are responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, trenchers, backhoes, loaders and other pieces of equipment. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, has strong communication and time management skills, as well as, an eye for detail and quality.

Candidates must be able to commute to and from our office location in Gilbert, SC every day for work.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside and assist Team Leaders to facilitate production.
  • Load equipment and tools each day in preparation for each job.
  • Able to effectively utilize equipment and tools to install hardscapes and lighting, irrigation, planting, and grading.

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: North Charleston, SC

REPORTS TO: Branch Manager

PAY: $21-23/hour

The position of Landscape Crew Leader is open within our landscape maintenance division located in North Charleston, SC.

The ideal candidate is an energetic and motivated individual with high-quality standards. This role reports directly to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for providing safe, dependable, and reliable transportation to the members of landscape crews to various locations within the Charleston, SC area. This position is also responsible for performing landscape maintenance along with the crew.

The expected work hours are Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays and Saturdays (as needed) beginning at 6:30 am.

  • Organize, supervise, lead, and train employees within established guidelines and timeframes.
  • Thoroughly clean and store all equipment in designated areas, when not in use.

Spray Technician (Columbia)

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

REPORTS TO: Detail Supervisor

PAY: $18-22/hour

Duties & Responsibilities: 

The Spray Technician will work independently (or with a crew as needed) to treat turf and ornamental beds for pests and disease. The Spray Technician will be responsible for tasks such as diagnosing plant health problems, mixing and applying chemicals in accordance with the labeling, recordkeeping in accordance with pesticide regulations, calibrating and maintaining equipment, and communicating effectively with managers and clients as needed. Exceptional time management and recordkeeping skills, working knowledge of turf and ornamental plants, and proficiency in basic math skills are required to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the chemical and fertilizer applications on assigned commercial properties
  • Monitor landscape health and diagnose primary turf problems and basic pest identification
  • Document all working hours as well as materials used
  • Maintain proper documentation as required by The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
  • Operate efficiently and safely at all times

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience with chemical or spray applications
  • Can communicate clearly with leadership and property managers (as needed)
  • Has a valid and clean SC driver’s license

Landscape Installation – Leader (Columbia)

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

REPORTS TO: Production Manager

PAY: $19-22/hour

The Enhancements Team Leader will directly oversee a 2 to 5-member crew. They would see all projects from beginning to end and ensure their completion with efficiency, safety, and accuracy. The Enhancements Team Leader would also be required to deliver or have materials delivered to the job sites at the right times so that work may not be impeded.

As crew leader, they will need to know and be proficient in; renovation/enhancements, irrigation, plant id, hardscapes, retaining walls and installs. They will also be expected to train and monitor the crew members. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations and delegate work to crew members
  • Ensure  landscape service expectations are met
  • Identify more efficient ways to perform work
  • Assist the supervisor in the development and training of crew members
  • Submit accurate crew time logs
  • Ensure all crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policies
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order and receives appropriate preventative maintenance
  • Install a variety of plant material
  • Move heavy materials and equipment
  • Dig/Excavate holes and trenches using picks and shovels or related equipment

Irrigation Technician (Columbia)

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

REPORTS TO: Detail Supervisor

PAY: $18-23/hour

Duties & Responsibilities: 

The Irrigation Technician will help maintain and repair irrigation systems on a daily basis. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to work independently, troubleshoot irrigation systems, and provide routine maintenance to prevent major issues.

  • Perform site assessments to identify and report any repairs needed.
  • Replace worn or damaged irrigation heads.
  • Repair irrigation mainlines and feeder lines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair irrigation valves and wiring issues.
  • Program irrigation controllers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair single-wire, multi-strand, and two-wire systems.


Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.

Landscape Day Porter (Columbia)

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: Gilbert, SC

Pay Range: $17-21/hour

The Day Porter will help maintain manicured landscapes by supporting our team at large-scale commercial sites. They will be expected to safely operate commercial-grade landscaping equipment and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean landscape environment
  • Picking up trash and debris
  • Performing weed control – both chemically and by hand pulling
  • Maintaining plant health through fertilization and pest treatments
  • Making minor repairs to irrigation systems and manually watering turf and shrubs as needed
  • Helping with special requests as needed

Skills:
