Landscape Team Member

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform all job-related tasks in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  2. Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools, such as, weed eaters, blowers, mowers, and trimmers.
  3. Perform assigned landscape maintenance tasks, such as, mowing, edging, and pruning.
  4. Work to ensure quality and timely completion of all tasks assigned.

Landscape Team Leader

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Organize, supervise, lead and train employees within established guidelines and timeframe.
  2. Thoroughly clean and store all equipment in designated areas, when not in use.
  3. Inspect each job site weekly and maintain punch lists given by the manager while on site.
  4. Continuously identify ways to improve work processes, efficiency, and quality.
  5. Keep managers aware of all customer concerns and communication on the job site.
  6. Always maintain safe working conditions on the job site.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • Has prior leadership experience and/or a minimum of 2 years of professional landscape maintenance experience, preferred.
  • Current State Technician and/or Applicator license preferred, but not required.

Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

The Landscape Maintenance Supervisor position is a hands-on position managing teams that perform commercial landscape maintenance services. The main focus of this role is to manage safety, quality, efficiency, and provide leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Safety

  • Monitor equipment inventory and ensure equipment is properly serviced
  • Perform and participate in team and departmental safety meetings
  • Ensure the safe operation of all maintenance equipment

Quality

  • Assist in identifying enhancement opportunities on properties
  • Oversee each property assigned to their division in to ensure quality work and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct a property inspection of each job no less than every two weeks using a detailed inspection form

Efficiency

  • Utilize Singleops for scheduling and time tracking
  • Review equipment needs and maintenance schedules with Operations Manager
  • Work with other supervisors with scheduling seasonal workers
  • Organize, prioritize and lead teams within established guidelines and timeframe
  • Continuously identify ways to improve work processes

Admin

  • Communicate daily with Operations manager on jobsite progress and issues
  • Document and prioritize projects/requests in Notion
  • Work closely with HR Manager to promote and enforce all Human Resource Procedures
  • Document absences, tardiness and other disciplinary actions in Notion

Leadership

  • Monitor the accuracy of information provided for time tracking
  • Supervise and train maintenance teams on all aspects of landscape maintenance services
  • Ability to meet deadlines set by the Operations Manager
  • Identify and help train future leaders within the company
  • Conduct Performance Reviews on team leaders/members

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Has prior customer service and leadership experience.
  • Current State Pesticide Applicator license preferred, but not required.

Skills & Abilities Qualifications:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish (highly preferred).

Irrigation Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Install, troubleshoot and make repairs to irrigation systems, controllers and valves.
  2. Repair irrigation mainlines from 1” to 12” in size, as well as, backflow prevention devices.
  3. Set and maintain times on computer and electronic valve clocks.
  4. Troubleshoot and repair single wire, multi-strand and Two-Wire systems.
  5. Map irrigation system for master plans.
  6. Perform site assessments to identify and report any repairs needed.
  7. Maintain detailed records of completed work orders.
  8. Inspect equipment and maintain adequate on-hand supplies.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
  • 2 years of landscape irrigation repair experience, preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of 2-wire irrigation systems.
  • Must have knowledge of PVC installation techniques and understand irrigation designs.

Annual Flower Specialist

Heritage Landscape Services is looking to add an enthusiastic and knowledgeable horticulturist to our commercial maintenance team. Key responsibilities will include hands-on planting, designing, weeding, pruning, watering, pest and disease prevention and control, and overall general maintenance of our annual flowers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Performs the following duties including but not limited to: design, installation and maintaining of annual flowers and landscape settings with minimal supervision.
  2. Performs basic maintenance duties including but not limited to: general cleanup, trash removal, and weeding (both manual and chemical).
  3. Complies with all safety procedures related to duties.
  4. Works in an efficient, professional manner.

Requirements:

  • At least one (1) year of related horticultural experience. Horticulture-related certifications and education are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of annuals, perennials, and herbaceous plants common to our region. Candidates should be able to identify plants and proactively trouble shoot on care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and be proactive; must be comfortable with and able to take initiative as appropriate.

  4. Timely completion of projects to ensure client satisfaction.
  5. Has a strong work ethic and great attitude.
